Freelance backend developer for Node.js APIs, integrations and fixes

Why me

What you get when you hire me as a freelancer

Freelance work only works when you can trust the result without supervising every line.

I've spent over three years building backends that handle real operations — bookings with availability rules, billing with GST and PDF invoices, donations with payment gateways and receipts, inventory across warehouses. As a freelancer I bring the same production habits to your project: clear data models, predictable APIs, and careful handling of money and permissions.

I'm deliberate about scope. Before work starts you get a written breakdown of what will be built, what won't, and how we'll know it's done. During the project you get regular updates and working code in your repository — not a big reveal at the end.

  • Written scope and estimate

A clear list of deliverables before any commitment, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

  • Code in your repository

Commits land in your Git repository from day one. You own everything written for the project.

  • Confidentiality

Happy to sign an NDA before you share details, credentials or source code.

  • Honest about fit

If the work isn't a good match for my skills, I'll say so quickly instead of learning on your budget.

Services

Freelance backend services

Short tasks, full builds, or ongoing help.

  • New backend or API builds

A complete Node.js / Express / TypeScript backend for your web or mobile app: data model, endpoints, auth and documentation.

  • Backend rescue and bug fixing

Fix crashes, data inconsistencies and security gaps in an existing backend, with a written report of what was wrong.

  • Payment gateway integration

Razorpay or other gateways with order creation, webhook verification, refunds and receipts handled properly.

  • Email, PDF and notification features

Transactional email, PDF invoices and receipts, reminders and scheduled jobs.

  • Database design and optimisation

New schemas, migrations between databases, indexes and query fixes for slow pages and reports.

  • Code review and technical audit

An independent review of a backend you've been handed — what's solid, what's risky and what to fix first.

Process

Ways to work together

Pick the model that fits the work — we can change it as the project evolves.

  1. 01

    Fixed-scope project

A defined feature or system with an agreed price and delivery plan. Best when requirements are clear.

  2. 02

    Monthly retainer

A reserved block of time each month for ongoing features, maintenance and support on a live product.

  3. 03

    Part-time contract

Regular weekly hours embedded in your team, working through your tracker and code review.

  4. 04

    Small one-off tasks

A single bug, integration or audit — scoped and quoted on its own.

FAQ

Common questions

How do you charge for freelance work?
It depends on the work: a fixed price for well-defined projects, a monthly retainer for ongoing work, or an agreed rate for part-time contracts. You get a written estimate after a short scoping call.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. I'm happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share your idea, codebase or credentials.
Who owns the code?
You do. Work is committed to your repository throughout the project, and the project code belongs to you.
Do you take small tasks or only full projects?
Both. A single integration, a bug that keeps coming back or a backend review are all fine — as long as the scope is clear.
Do you work with clients outside India?
Yes, remotely. I work in IST, which overlaps well with UK, Europe and Middle East working hours; for other time zones we agree a fixed overlap window.
How soon can you start?
It depends on current commitments. Send the details and I'll tell you honestly when I can start — usually within one business day of your message.
